Broken Silence

Twenty years ago, Sarah Scantlin was a college freshman with her whole life stretched out before her. After being hit by a drunk driver, Sarah has spent the intervening years in a medical facility unable to communicate with her parents aside from blinking her eyes to indicate yes and no responses.

As an early Valentine's Day present for her family, Sarah shared with them her newly regained ability to speak.

Daily, patients make progress that defy all medical wisdom. Doctors are often confounded by the miracles God ordains like this and this.

Once again, I'm reminded at the preciousness of life and the sovreignty of God.
